T H Equipment is a leading provider of stainless‑steel kitchen equipment products in Malaysia, serving the industry since 1988. We manufacture high‑quality products encompassing cooking and warming equipment, dining essentials, as well as specialized services including Metal Sheets Service, Custom Made Products, and Project Consultancy. We are looking for Project Designer (Draughter) to join our project team. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in the company’s projects and in the growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of technical drawings based on the input given into drafting software (CAD)
- Draft and prepare customized design solutions per request, review by Project Director, and revise drawings and layouts to reflect changes and enhancements
- Prepare quotations according to customer requests and requirements
- Finalize drawings with the proposed product/system to ensure correct dimensions (based on current site size) and conformity to company products
- liaise with customer to confirm before proceeding for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)
- Coordinate site measurements and meetings with customer
- Assign drawing numbers, creation dates and revision numbers in the design technical drawings
- Follow up with customer for hand‑over dates that need to parallel production time
- Monitor item delivery at site based on confirmed drawings, and revert to production for any defect or equipment problem
- Document control: drawings are stored systematically for easy access with proper search criteria
- Handle customer inquiries regarding payment terms and conditions
Qualifications
- Professional Certificate/Diploma/Degree holder in Interior Design/Architecture/CAD Draftsman or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry
- Proficient in AUTOCAD & Microsoft Office (plus points for Inventor / 3Ds Max)
- Basic knowledge of stainless‑steel equipment (commercial kitchen)
- Calculative & creative thinking
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with contractor/customer
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Detail‑oriented and responsible, ensuring projects meet timelines
- Developed communication skills in handling contractor‑customer relationships
- Improvised skills in mechanical & electrical knowledge as needed to coordinate with contractor and determine correct methods based on site conditions
- Time management to arrange own schedule for drawings and site visits
- Capability to handle onsite problems with basic knowledge as a site coordinator
- Team coordination with production and installer teams, improving leadership skills on site
