  • Manage Paper Indent process and monitor stock.
  • Create and update production schedules adjusting timelines as needed.
  • Monitor daily job progress, identifying bottlenecks and delays.
  • Analyze production outcomes to drive improvements.
  • Resolve cross-departmental conflicts and ensure workflow alignment.

Job Title: Production Planner (Printing & Packaging)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to act as the heartbeat of our operations. In this role, you will coordinate the flow of jobs from sales orders to finished products, ensuring materials, documentation, and resources are perfectly aligned for timely delivery. You will serve as the key liaison between Sales, Pre-Press, Store, QC, and Production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Management: Review Sales Orders and issue accurate Job Sheets to Pre-Press, Store, QC, and Production departments.
  • Material Planning: Conduct immediate stock checks (paper, ink, consumables) upon job entry. Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) and follow up on procurement to ensure no production stoppages.
  • Paper Inventory Management: Manage the Paper Indent process by monitoring roll stocks, calculating optimal sheet yields to minimize waste, and coordinating sheet cutting/delivery with suppliers.
  • Scheduling: Create and update detailed production schedules. Adjust timelines based on capacity and urgent requests while managing version control.
  • WIP Tracking: Monitor the daily progress of jobs. Identify bottlenecks, record delays, and keep the Sales team and Management updated on status.
  • Data Analysis: Close out completed schedules and analyze production outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordination: Act as the central communication hub to resolve cross-departmental conflicts and ensure everyone is aligned on workflow changes.
Requirements
  • Education: Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Printing Technology, Production/Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or coordination (Experience in the Printing/Packaging industry is highly preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel (essential for planning), digital document control, and knowledge of print/finishing processes.
  • Attributes: Strong organizational skills, effective communicator, and the ability to identify problems and escalate them appropriately.
