A manufacturing company located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations and meet production targets with efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of experience in production management. Key responsibilities include optimizing production schedules, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring quality standards are met. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred. The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met with efficiency, quality, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
Develop and implement production schedules aligned with demand forecasts.
Monitor workflow to ensure timely delivery of products.
Optimize resource allocation (manpower, machinery, materials).
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Supervise, train, and motivate production staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans.
Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
Collaborate with QA/QC teams to maintain product standards.
Investigate and resolve production issues or defects.
Implement corrective and preventive actions.
Control production costs and reduce waste.
Monitor KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), yield, and downtime.
Recommend investments in equipment or technology upgrades.
Work closely with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams.
Support new product launches and process improvements.
Liaise with senior management on strategic production goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in production management (manufacturing industry preferred).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality systems.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
