Job summary

A leading production firm in Kulai, Malaysia is seeking an experienced production leader to manage end-to-end operations. You will oversee a team of 400 operators and ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience in production leadership within an EMS environment. Responsibilities include driving production planning, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and leading transitions for new product introductions. This role demands strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of SMT production environments.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of SMT / Assembly production environments.
  • Solid understanding of shift management and manpower planning.

Job description

Lead and manage end-to-end production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are met

Directly oversee:

400 Operators

Drive daily production planning, manpower optimization, line balancing and efficiency improvements

Ensure strict compliance with internal SOPs, customer requirements and regulatory/audit standards (QMS, EHS, labor compliance)

Support and lead NPI ramp-ups, pilot builds and mass production transition

Manage production KPIs (output, yield, OEE, scrap, rework, attendance, discipline)

Act as escalation point for production issues, including off-hours operational support

Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, HR and Supply Chain

Maintain strong shop-floor discipline, 5S and governance culture

Requirement :

Minimum 8–12 years of production leadership experience in EMS

Proven experience managing large manpower operations (300+ operators)

Strong knowledge of SMT / Assembly production environments

Solid understanding of shift management and manpower planning
