Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is looking for a production engineer to manage daily production activities and drive process improvements. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field and at least one year of experience in manufacturing. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Organize, implement and monitor daily production control and activities.
  • Enforce machine setup compliance to meet output targets.
  • Analyze production variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure accuracy of data by conducting consistent checking.
  • Oversee Total Productive Maintenance implementation.
  • Enforce compliance with company regulations.
  • Minimize WIP production and control overproduction.
  • Implement CAPA for customer complaints and conduct audits.
  • Train and coach workers for product conformity.
  • Ensure machine availability and control production scheduling.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet deadlines.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Organize, implement and monitor daily production control and activities.
  • Enforce machine setup compliance to meet average output targets for each shift.
  • Analyze production variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of data pertaining to NCN, Waste and FG by conducting consistent checking and take corrective action against non-conformities.
  • Oversee and monitor Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation in the shop floor.
  • Enforce compliance with company rules and regulations through routine inspections.
  • Minimize the WIP production by controlling the overproduction quantity, production schedule and WIP movement.
  • Implement CAPA to rectify customers’ complaint and conduct routine audit to minimize non-conformities.
  • Train and coach workers to meet required product conformity standards.
  • Ensure machine availability to meet production goals and control production scheduling to meet delivery timelines.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and new projects to boost productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet deadlines and company objectives.
  • Perform any other duties from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Polymer/Mechatronic/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Process/Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering fields.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
