A leading flour manufacturer in Penang is seeking a Product Application Specialist to develop innovative flour types and specialty products. The role involves conducting trials and baking demonstrations to showcase product performance, as well as providing training to customers and distributors. Candidates should have a Degree in Food Science or Technology and strong presentation skills. Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Develop new flour types, blends, and specialty products (e.g., high-protein, functional, or customized flours) based on market trends and consumer needs.
Conduct baking/noodle/pastry trials to evaluate flour performance in end-products.
Stay updated on current trends in flour application products such as bakery, noodle, and pastry products — including recipes, formulations, and processing methods.
Conduct baking demonstrations and application trials for customers and visitors to showcase flour performance.
Provide training sessions to distributors, customers, and internal teams on flour applications.
Work closely with the Sales/Marketing team to support product promotion with technical presentations, samples, and trial data.
Collect feedback from customers and the sales team to identify new opportunities and improvement areas.
Maintain detailed R&D documentation and technical reports for review.
Perform other task as and when require by HOD.
Job Specification / Requirements :
Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field in baking and pastry art.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience in customer technical support, baking demonstrations, or food application is an added advantage. However, fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Proficient in English, Malay, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
