Procurement Sourcing Manager

Location: Selangor, Malaysia

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the Sourcing Department, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, timelines, and performance targets.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and adaptable to market dynamics.
  • Establish and maintain effective cross‑functional coordination with material planning, sales, marketing, finance, production, quality assurance, and R&D teams.
  • Drive end‑to‑end sourcing performance across the supply chain lifecycle, including cost optimization, supplier quality, and on‑time delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Uphold and enforce the company’s code of ethics within the sourcing function.
  • Source components and materials while negotiating pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage material cost forecasts and standard cost structures.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, providing feedback and aligning on production and demand forecasts.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure stable and efficient procurement operations.
  • Support R&D activities, including technical discussions, supplier coordination, delivery timelines, and quotation management.
  • Support engineering changes, product line extensions, and new product launches, ensuring smooth material and production transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance to support accurate product costing and financial planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing engineering components and materials.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of industrial procurement practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.

  • Hands‑on experience with SAP and MS Excel.
