allnex is looking for a Process Technician to join our team in Melaka! This is a one‑year contract role. In this position, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring daily resin production activities to ensure products meet required quality and safety standards. The role involves operating process equipment, conducting in‑process checks, recording production data, and supporting troubleshooting efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor resin processing activities (e.g. pumping, heating, sampling, cooling) to ensure product quality aligns with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform in‑process adjustments in reactors, thinning/buffer tanks, and other vessels to meet quality specifications.
  • Support troubleshooting of process issues with Senior Technician, Supervisor, or Process Engineer (e.g. yield loss, equipment faults).
  • Accurately record key production data such as viscosity, acid value, colour, downtime, reaction time, and raw material usage.
  • Check final resin specifications, conduct sampling and basic analysis, and ensure quality before sending samples to the lab.
  • Monitor process parameters including temperature, pressure, dosing rate, and weight.
  • Audit raw materials in production areas before loading.
  • Handle loading, drumming, suction, filter changes, hoisting, and capping.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards across the lab, control room, production floor, and related areas.
  • Follow all company policies, SOPs, and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements.
Required skills and experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in chemical operations
  • Open to a 1‑year contract
  • Basic understanding of chemical processing and production equipment
  • Ability to perform in‑process checks and monitor parameters such as temperature, pressure, and dosing rates
  • Familiarity with SOPs and safety protocols in a production environmentGood problem‑solving skills and ability to support troubleshooting activities
  • Attention to detail and ability to record accurate production data
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
