Job Details

We are looking for a Process Engineer/Senior Engineer for a leading player in the E&E industry as part of their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 80 years in the world.

Location & Role
  • Based in Penang
  • Expansion role
Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization & DOE: Lead Design of Experiments (DOE) and other analytical methodologies to pinpoint critical variables and establish optimal process windows.
  • Quality & Six Sigma: Resolve complex manufacturing hurdles using DMAIC and conduct capability studies to verify that assembly processes consistently meet technical requirements.
  • NPI Transition: Establish clear criteria for moving new cable designs from prototype phases into high-volume manufacturing.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct detailed incident investigations using an integral approach (Manpower, Method, Machine, Material, Measurement) to implement lasting corrective actions.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop standardized work instructions, manufacturing best practices, and procedures for both automated and manual equipment sets.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a technical authority during design reviews and collaborate with tooling, operations, and development teams to drive FMEA/PFMEA risk assessments.
  • Data-Driven Management: Track materials and compile performance data specifically for alpha and beta product builds (internal validation and early-stage real-world testing).
Qualifications
  • At least 5+ years of professional experience in Process Engineering, ideally within a product development environment.
  • Proficiency in advanced statistical methods, physics-based engineering calculations, and data mining for root-cause troubleshooting.
  • Working experience in HDR, cable or wire manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
