Job summary

A manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced engineer to optimize and improve production processes in Penang. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and have at least 2 years in manufacturing or process improvement roles. Strong analytical and communication skills in both Mandarin and English are essential. Responsibilities include analyzing production data, coordinating teams for troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of statistical tools, SPC, or DOE will be an added advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve production processes to enhance yield, quality, and efficiency.
• Analyze production data to identify process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with equipment and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
• Develop and execute experiments for new materials, methods, or process improvements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as process flow charts, FMEA, and control plans.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth transition to mass production.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
