Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Payroll team. This role is a great opportunity to build on and expand your foundational payroll experience and develop expertise in regional payroll operations. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and team to support accurate and timely payroll processing, learn compliance requirements, and contribute to process improvements. The environment is fast paced, so attention to detail and a commitment to learning are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support end-to-end payroll processing for selected APAC region
  • Assist in executing regular payroll runs, off‑cycle payroll, and termination payments under guidance. Eventually handling the payroll runs with supervision.
  • Maintain employee records, onboarding, termination, leaves and variations accurately and timely
  • Keep abreast of current payroll legislation and ensure payroll compliance for the country.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to provide necessary payroll data and resolve routine queries.
  • Help keep documentation updated such as Payroll Policy, Payroll Matrix and Process Note.
  • Provide backup support for team members when required.
  • Prepare standard payroll reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) as per established templates.
  • Participate in continuous improvement project that enhances timely, responsive, accurate and well‑controlled service delivery and customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Handle common employee payroll queries with guidance and elevate complex issues when needed.
Qualifications
  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or professional qualification in HR, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills — you’re confident, clear, and comfortable working with different stakeholders.
  • Good problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. You think things through and find practical solutions.
  • Experience or exposure to countries like India, China, Singapore, or anywhere else in APAC is a big plus.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks — accuracy and attention to detail matter a lot in this role.
  • Someone who takes initiative, enjoys troubleshooting, and learns quickly. You’re a systems thinker who likes improving processes and spotting better ways of doing things.
