Job Description

This role involves comprehensive support for packaging engineering across the organization. It includes working closely with sales, marketing, product engineering and suppliers to meet customer packaging requirements; establishing and maintaining packaging engineering standards; sourcing and qualifying packaging materials; updating labeling and documentation; ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations; and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Works with sales & marketing to review, identify, reply, propose, introduce, qualify and meet customer specific packaging requirements to maintain current and win new business.
  • Plant wide packaging engineering support to establish, update, maintain, streamline & implement packaging engineering standards, spec & changes thru proper documentation & database update.
  • Packaging materials sourcing & qualifying through proper documentation.
  • Packaging labeling support to update, maintain, streamline & implement packaging labeling changes thru proper documentation & database update.
  • Responsible for information collection thru multiple sources - sales & marketing, product engineering, miniPIP or customer to review, identify & define product packaging requirements.
  • Responsible for review, reply and ensure compliance of customer specific packaging inquiries, industrial packaging spec & environmental packaging compliance requirements. Identify, qualify, introduce, obtain approval & implement new packaging to customers that induced cost saving.
  • Work with suppliers, purchaser and tooling/engineering on sourcing, qualifying & designing new packaging materials thru proper documentation ECO & MCO.
  • Create, update, maintain and implement packaging information, changes thru proper documentation in agile- Packaging Matrix, Pack WI & Label Pack WI.
  • Work with PEs to maintain BOM correctness related to packaging material. Identify, improve and streamline packaging process to enhance packaging line process robustness.
  • Establish, update and maintain packaging info in Camstar database to enable auto packaging label printing.
  • Conduct Shipping Label Peer Review and control packaging labels cut in timing and implementation to execute FA shipments effectively to meet OTD. Support SNY packaging upon requested.
  • Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
  • Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
  • Derive Continual Improvement. Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task. Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science/ Engineering preferably majoring in Mechatronics or Mechanical.
  • Experience on managing in-coming/ in-process/out-going quality related matter.
  • Good computer literacy and basic SPC knowledge.
  • Must exhibit a strong sense of analytical skills with hands on working attitude.
  • Adaptable and flexible to rapid changes to the business needs of the company.
  • Experience working in high mix and high volume manufacturing environment, and/or assembly, SMT, PCBA manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis, poka-yoke principles will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate who can speak in Mandarin will be added advantage.
