Position Title: Order Management and Logistics Manager

Purpose
The Order Management and Logistics Manager is the strategic lead for the "Order-to-Delivery" lifecycle. In this role, you will lead the team responsible for order integrity, global export execution, and the digital evolution of our order management and logistics. Your mandate is to transform manual order flows into a high-speed, automated engine that supports our 2026 global growth targets.
Core Responsibilities
1. Process Oversight & Strategic Governance
- End-to-End Process Ownership. Maintaining total oversight of the entire order management and logistics lifecycle for all orders, ensuring a seamless operational flow from order entry in SAP to final delivery at the destination.
- Logistics Accountability. Driving accountability for the logistics performance of every order, managing the coordination between carriers and customers to ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Operational Governance. Developing and enforcing standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality and compliance across all domestic and international order-related logistics activities.
- Strategic Reporting. Providing the executive team with high-level visibility into order health, landed costs per shipment, and logistics performance through rigorous data oversight.
2. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment
- Leading and mentoring the Order Management and Logistics team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and technical proficiency.
- Establishing and owning standard KPIs, including "Order-to-Ship" cycle times, documentation accuracy, and "Perfect Order" fulfillment rates.
- Acting as the primary bridge between Sales, Finance, and Warehouse and Fulfillment teams to ensure all order priorities are executed in line with customer SLAs and business goals.
3. Export Execution & Global Compliance
- Overseeing the end-to-end documentation required for international trade (Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and Customs Declarations) for over 15 countries.
- Ensuring all logistics activities strictly comply with NZ MPI export protocols and specific import requirements for animal-derived proteins in the USA, China, and the EU.
- Managing relationships and negotiating annual contracts with freight forwarders and carriers to secure vessel space and optimize global freight spend.
4. Process Optimization & Digital Automation
- Automation Mandate: Transforming manual order processes into automated SAP workflows, including EDI integrations with global retailers, automated order acknowledgment, and digitized freight auditing.
- Continuous Improvement: Auditing existing logistics workflows to identify bottlenecks; implementing Lean strategies to reduce lead times and eliminate redundant manual touchpoints.
- Data Intelligence: Building real-time dashboards (e.g., via Power BI or SAP Analytics) to track order performance and support data-driven decision-making.
Directly processing export orders for identified market or account assignments, ensuring all Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and Customs Declarations are completed without error.
- SAP ERP Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SAP (specifically SD and MM modules) with the ability to configure or specify requirements for automated order-to-cash workflows.
- Data Architecture & Analytics: Advanced skills in data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) and Excel (VBA/Macros) to transform raw logistics data into strategic insights.
- Systems Integration: Solid understanding of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) protocols and API integrations between ERPs and 3PL platforms.
- Trade Compliance Technology: Proficiency with global trade management (GTM) software and digitized customs filing systems to ensure 2026-standard export accuracy.
- Lean Six Sigma: Practical application of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to identify waste and optimize transactional logistics processes.

Key Requirements
- Experience: 5–7+ years in Logistics or Order Management, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Experience in FMCG or Export-heavy Manufacturing is essential.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
