Requirements
  • Knowledge or experience within the gold, diamond or jewellery industry will be highly preferable
  • Experience within retail/pawnbroking/banking/jewellery/retail industries will be looked upon preferably
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency will be looked upon highly (to communicate with colleagues and customers)
  • At least 5+ years working experience
  • Degree/Diploma within any educational field will be preferable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or equivalent software suites
  • Information technology knowledge of computer hardware, software, CCTV, alarms will be preferable
  • Possess own transport for inter-city travel (1 to 2 hour inter-city travel time) will be looked upon highly
  • Proven leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and develop a team will be highly looked upon
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Highly motivated

  • Candidates with greater work experience will be considered for senior roles
Responsibilities
Operational Expertise:
  • Perform front line customer pawnbroking transactions
  • Manage and perform daily branch operational procedures
  • Maintain and enhance branch reporting documents
  • Manage the maintenance and improvement of company assets
Leadership Expertise:
  • Manage and provide leadership to branch teams together with other management personnel
  • Implement company improvement project initiatives
  • Assist company management to implement ad‑hoc tasks
  • Suggest improvements to company business processes
Tech Savvy:
  • Manage and enhance IT infrastructure
  • Manage branch social media and online communications to customers
