We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Operations Director to oversee the operational health of our business, with a focus on business growth and expansion, inter-department processes, and overall business profitability.
You will oversee the Projects and Operations teams. The Projects Team is responsible for providing turnkey solutions to the group (new outlets openings and business expansion). The Operations team is responsible to ensure that the business has clear operational procedures and are compliant to brand standards.
This role ensures that our business expansion is sustainable and highly profitable. You will be critical in supporting our frontline operations but do not involve direct management of outlet operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F&B operations management, combined with exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of industry trends, and a keen ability to drive improvements at a group level.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Business Performance
- Partner with the CEO’s Department to define long-term goals, expansion roadmaps, and KPIs.
- Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for outlet expansions to ensure capital is deployed effectively.
- Drive bottom-line growth by identifying operational bottlenecks to increase net profit margins.
- Collaborate with the culinary and finance teams to ensure cost control, accurate forecasting, and financial accountability.
Business Process Optimization
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and boost group-wide productivity.
- Lead the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality across various functions.
- Identify opportunities for reducing waste and improving the bottom line.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with culinary, marketing, IT, finance and HR teams to align operational strategies with company goals and standards.
- Support the HR department in developing training programs that ensure consistent operational excellence across all levels of the business.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including health codes, food safety, and labor laws.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Utilize data analytics to monitor operational performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance, highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas of concern for senior management.
- Oversee risk management strategies within operations to mitigate supply chain disruptions, quality control issues, or regulatory compliance failures.
- Ensure operational practices comply with company and brand standards, health and safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 8+ years of experience in operations management within the F&B industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of F&B supply chain, procurement, and logistics operations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and build consensus across departments.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of relevant F&B industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in using Google apps and technologically savvy
