Job summary

A leading retail organization in Kuching is seeking a qualified individual to analyze and improve retail operations. Responsibilities include identifying inefficiencies, conducting assessments, and developing initiatives to improve areas such as inventory management and customer flow. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant Bachelor's degree, strong analytical skills, and be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. A proactive approach and willingness to travel is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing retail operations and workflows.
  • Conduct on-site assessments and data collection.

  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with store managers for implementing changes.
  • Monitor effectiveness of solutions and track KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement culture across retail network.

Job description

Responsibilities: To analyse existing retail operations, in-store workflows, and customer service processes; to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement through DMAIC methodology; to conduct on-site assessments and data collection at our various retail outlets; to develop and evaluate process improvement initiatives focusing on areas like inventory management, staff productivity, sales processes, and customer flow; to prepare and present findings, data driven recommendations, and project proposals to management; to collaborate with store managers and retail staff to implement approved process changes effectively; to monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented solutions, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs); and to support the department in fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the retail network.

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management & Logistics, Business Administration/Management, or Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical).
  • Relevant internship experience is highly encouraged, especially for fresh graduates with strong academic records. Salary RM3K and above depending on the qualification and experience.
  • Possess own transportation and a valid drivers license.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal). Proficiency in Mandarin and/or the Sarawak Malay dialect is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently.
