Job Summary

• Provide total, direct nursing care to patients requiring advanced, skilled, or complex care.
• Complete specific competencies as identified by the supervisor. Respond to age‑specific, life‑saving situations within the OT based on nursing standards and protocols, and initiate BLS as required.
• Ensure the correct patient, correct site, and correct procedure are being performed.
• Act as a scrub or circulating nurse, as allocated by the OT Nurse Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room according to the type of operation and relevant recommendations.
• Assist the surgeon during operative procedures.
• Ensure all pre‑, intra‑, and post‑operative documentation is completed in the relevant format and in a timely manner.
• Perform procedures requiring advanced competency, skills, or training within the expanded nursing role.
• Competently and safely operate highly specialised OT equipment.

Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid APC (Annual Practising Certificate) in Malaysia.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Post‑Basic qualification in Peri‑Operative or a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Passionate about nursing excellence, education, and patient‑centred care.
