Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a skilled engineer with a diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering. The role requires at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in metal stamping or fabrication. Responsibilities include reviewing customer drawings, preparing process drawings, and liaising with suppliers. Knowledge of quality management standards and proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD is essential. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in metal stamping or fabrication.
• Ability to liaise with other internal departments related to NPI jobs.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings and prepare DFM.
• Prepare process drawing (PWI).
• Communicate with suppliers for subcontracting processes.
• Update NPI status for close follow-up.
• Design soft tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Review FA reports before shipment.
• Ensure proper closure of the system.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To review the customer drawing & prepare the DFM, if any
• To prepare the PWI – Process drawing
• To work closely & to liaise with other internal departments (relate to NPI job)
• To communicate with suppliers on the plating, machining & other processes for sub-contracting
• To update the NPI status for close follow-up
• To design soft tool and jig and fixture
• To review the FA report before shipment done
• To ensure the system is properly close

Job Requirements:

• Minimum diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, preferably in metal stamping or fabrication.
• Knowledge of ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO13485, proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, positive attitude, integrity, ability to work independently under tight deadlines, conversant in English and Microsoft Excel.
