Job summary

A nature-focused organization in Penang is seeking a passionate individual to promote nature appreciation and engage visitors through various guided activities. Responsibilities include planning and conducting daily activities, providing informative directions, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Candidates should possess a degree in a related field and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in tourism or education is preferred, along with flexibility to work irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is essential.
• Minimum one to two years of experience in tourism, education or training sectors.
• Must be able to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote nature appreciation and provide a hospitable environment for visitors.
• Plan and conduct daily in-house activities, including butterfly release sessions.
• Provide directions and information to visitors.

Job description

Responsibilities

• He / She is responsible to promote nature appreciation, provide a welcome, hospitable environment with rewarding and engaging learning experience to all visitors of Entopia through various guided activities.
• Plan, prepare and conduct daily in-house activities at the scheduled time slot including butterfly release session.
• Provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Entomology, Zoology or related field.
• Passionate about nature.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to conduct activities in a lively and fun manner.
• A dynamic and committed team player who is reliable, responsible, enthusiastic, flexible, friendly, courteous and outgoing.
• Minimum one to two years of work experience in tourism, education or training sectors.
• Able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, with time-off arrangements.

Knowledge of additional languages will be an added advantage.
