A leading insurance company in Malaysia, located in Selangor, is seeking a software developer to enhance life insurance products within existing systems. The role involves understanding user requirements, liaising with business stakeholders, and participating in the Agile SDLC process. Candidates should be experienced in ensuring system availability and stability, while also providing guidance to junior team members. A commitment to quality and adherence to development standards is essential.
Develop/ enhance life insurance product in existing quotation applications
Understand user requirements and manage new project initiatives.
Liaise with business users, vendors and other team memberes in providing effective IT services/support and ensuring quality deliveries.
Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including meetings, iterative development, estimations and design sessions.
Ship quality software quickly and frequently.
Active involvement in UAT/production support to ensure system availabitity and stability.
Evaluate emerging technology and competitive solutions in tandem with business and company’s IT plans.
Maintaining high work standards, productivity level and deliver quality, as committed under the various company Quality initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced members of the team.
Ensure unit’s conformance to System Development Standard as defined by the Department. This includes understanding and using approved programming methodologies.
Maintaining technical documentation, following coding standard and help the engineering team enforce good programming practices
