Job summary

A consultancy firm in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer. Responsibilities include planning and designing engineering projects, preparing tender documents, managing non-conformities, and liaising with authorities. Qualifications include a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD, and ability to work independently. Fresh graduates or those with 2-3 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Competitive candidates may also have Mandarin fluency.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel is an added advantage.
  • Able to work as a team, assertive, independent and proactive.
  • Possess own transport.

  • Fluent in Mandarin is an added advantage.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER / ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

1. Plan, design and administer contract/project of mechanical and electrical engineering works.

2. Prepare tender documents and tender drawings.

3. Perform tender evaluations and prepare tender evaluation reports.

4. Attend technical and progress meetings with client, architects, consultants and contractors.

5. Manage the projects and identify any non-conformity of contractor’s work at site.

6. Other adhoc duties as assigned.

7. To liaise with local authorities on the submission approval, site inspection, handling over process and obtain clearance letter.

JOB COMPETENCY (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE)
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel is an added advantage.
  • Able to work as a team, assertive, independent and proactive.
