Job Requirement
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferably candidates with 1-2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance function preferably in process industry.
- Experience in working with computerized Maintenance Planning System.
- Management skills in planning, reporting and monitoring of overall plant maintenance activities.
- Ability to understand engineering standard, technical drawing, regulatory standards and legal requirement.
- Hands on experience in mechanical equipment repair and maintenance.
- Technical Reporting and presentation skill.
- Good oral and written skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
Main Duties
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, equipment, and products, ensuring that they meet functional, safety, and performance requirements.
- Managing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Also supervise and mentor technical staff.
- Solving complex mechanical problems and addressing technical challenges that arise during the design, testing, or manufacturing processes.
- Working closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., electrical, instrument, utilities and departments (e.g., production, quality assurance, HSE) to ensure integrated system design and seamless implementation.
- Creating and maintaining detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, reports, and technical manuals.
- Leading efforts for innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical engineering processes, tools, and technologies.
- Estimating project, CAPEX and OPEX costs, including materials, inventories, labor, and equipment, and managing the engineering budget throughout the lifecycle of a project and department.
- Ensure the compliance of all policies, procedures and directives established by the Health, Safety and Environment Department to minimize the risk of personal injury, environmental and property damage and the risk of exposure to hazardous and explosive materials.
- Regular review, monitor and ensure routine, preventive and predictive maintenance are carried out in a safe, efficient and effective manner to minimize unplanned equipment and machinery breakdowns and faults.
- To manage and monitor planning, execution and inspection of plant maintenance with the support of SAP CMMS system.
