Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and machinery. Tasks will include conducting conceptual and detailed design processes, creating custom product designs, utilising computer‑aided design (CAD) software, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, efficient, and innovative solutions. The individual will also ensure design compliance with industry standards and project requirements while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong skills and experience in Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in Automation Design and the ability to create innovative and functional designs
• Expertise in Autodesk Inventor (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D modelling
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of industry standards and the ability to ensure compliance in designs
• Prior work experience in the semiconductor, telecommunications, or automotive industries is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work within deadlines
