A leading automotive maintenance provider in Port Klang is seeking a skilled technician for truck and trailer maintenance. The role involves inspecting and repairing various truck components while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a Certificate or Diploma in a related field and experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, particularly in welding and body repair. Inspect and perform repairs on truck and trailer bodies including panels, doors, frames, chassis, and structural components.
Troubleshoot body defects such as cracks, dents, alignment issues, and structural weaknesses.
Install, adjust, and replace vehicle parts such as bumpers, mudguards, fenders, tailgates, and hydraulic components.
Ensure all repairs meet safety and company quality standards.
Perform metal cutting, shaping, and fabrication work for truck and trailer components.
Execute welding tasks (MIG/TIG/ARC) for reinforcement, repair, and modification of steel structures.
Fabricate custom brackets, mounts, guards, frames, or support structures as required.
Maintain welding equipment and ensure all fabrication work adheres to safety guidelines.
Carry out routine servicing based on maintenance schedules, including:
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, then perform corrective actions.
Maintain accurate service and repair records in compliance with company procedures.
Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and technical manuals to identify faults in engines, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Recommend repair solutions and prepare parts replacement lists.
Ensure all work is performed safely in accordance with company safety policies.
Comply with industry standards and vehicle regulations.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
Safely operate workshop machinery (grinders, welding sets, compressors, hoists, etc.).
Perform basic maintenance on tools and report defective equipment promptly.
Certificate or Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, Welding, or related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in truck or heavy vehicle maintenance (preferred).
Strong skills in welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), metal fabrication, and body repair.
Familiar with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, braking systems, and electrical components.
Physically fit and able to perform hands‑on mechanical tasks.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be willing to be based at Westport (Pulau Indah).
Valid GDL or heavy vehicle driving license.
Experience in fleet maintenance or logistics industry.
Ability to manage urgent repair jobs under time pressure.
