Responsibilities
  • Brand Strategy & Management
    • Brand Planning: Develop and implement annual and long-term brand plans for Pets Corner's portfolio in Malaysia with various brand partners, aligning with global brand guidelines and local market insights.
    • Brand Positioning: Define and refine brand positioning, messaging, and value propositions for various product lines to resonate with target audiences (pet owners, breeders, vet professionals).
    • Market Research: Lead market research initiatives to understand consumer insights, market trends, competitive landscape, and identify new opportunities for brand growth.
    • Product Portfolio Management: Work with R&D, Sales, and Supply Chain on product lifecycle management, including new product launches, portfolio optimization, and discontinuation strategies.
    • Budget Management: Manage the overall brand and digital marketing budget with brand partners, ensuring ROI tracking.
    • Digital Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy encompassing SEO/SEM, social media, content marketing, email marketing, display advertising, and e-commerce marketing.
    • Performance Marketing: Oversee paid digital campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads) to drive traffic, leads, and conversions with a focus on ROI and optimization.
    • Content Strategy: Lead development of engaging, educational, and brand-consistent digital content (articles, videos, infographics) for various platforms.
    • Social Media Management: Develop and manage social media strategies, community management, and influencer collaborations to build brand presence and engagement.
    • Website & CRM: Oversee maintenance and optimization of local website and CRM-enabled data management for targeted consumer communications.
    • Data Analytics: Use digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track, measure, and report on digital campaign performance, deriving actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Integrated Marketing Campaign Management
    • Campaign Development: Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, including events and trade marketing.
    • Agency Management: Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure high-quality deliverables and effective campaign execution.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales teams to ensure marketing initiatives support sales objectives and drive retail execution.
    • PR & Communications: Oversee public relations efforts and communications to maintain a positive brand image.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Marketing Executives, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and development plans.
    • Identify skill gaps and facilitate training opportunities to enhance capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional marketing certifications (e.g., Digital Marketing, CIM) are highly advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial capacity, leading marketing strategies and teams.
  • Proven expertise in both brand management and digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media, content, e-commerce).
  • Prior experience in the FMCG sector is highly preferred; experience in the pet food industry is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Experience managing a team, agency relationships, and marketing budgets.
