Job Description: Entry-Level Quote Analyst (Job Shop Manufacturing)

The Entry-Level Quote Analyst supports the quoting and costing process for a job shop manufacturing environment. This role reviews customer drawings and blueprints to identify required manufacturing processes, materials, and labor. The Quote Analyst enters accurate data into the company’s quoting and ERP systems and works closely with engineering, operations, and sales teams to produce timely and competitive customer quotes.

Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret customer blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Identify basic manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, finishing, or secondary operations
  • Determine material types, quantities, and general tolerances from drawings
  • Assist in estimating labor time, machine time, and material costs
  • Accurately input quote details into quoting software or ERP systems
  • Support senior quote analysts and engineers with data collection and quote preparation
  • Communicate with internal teams to clarify requirements or missing information
  • Maintain organized records of quotes, revisions, and customer documentation
  • Learn and follow company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related technical field
  • Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings and blueprints

Working Conditions

Initially there are work-from-home options while our new Johor Bahru manufacturing facility is being fitted. In-office work would begin June 2026. This is an office-based position within a manufacturing environment. Regular use of computer systems with occasional interaction with the shop floor. Standard business hours with some deadline-driven work.
