Job summary

A leading language services company is seeking a Mandarin/Cantonese Interpreter to work from home in Kuala Lumpur. This 12-month contract position requires fluent English and Mandarin/Cantonese skills. Interpreters will handle various topics, working 40 hours a week, including shifts during public holidays. Candidates must provide their own equipment and have a stable internet connection. An attractive salary of RM30 per hour applies, with additional incentives for meeting minimum hours.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts for 9 hours anytime within a 24-hour schedule.
  • Need own laptop/PC and mobile phone with required specifications.
  • Must be willing to work on public holidays as the operation is 24/7.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret clearly between Mandarin and English.
  • Provide language interpretation services for various subjects including Healthcare and Government.

We are currently looking to hire a Language Interpreter : "Mandarin - English” role for our client who is one of the biggest language services company in the world.

Position: Language Interpreter [Mandarin/Cantonese and English]

Period of Employment: 12 months Contract / Renewable

Working Hours: 40 hours per week / based on schedule / night shift

Salary: RM30/ hour (Minimum RM30 x160 hours= RM4800)

If you fulfilled the minimum working hours per month, the additional incentive paid is: (T&C applies)

A work from home Language Interpreter works from his/her home office. It is essential to ensure a quiet and secure environment. This position is open to most locations within Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia & Philippines. The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement and General Business

Expectations
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Mandarin/Cantonese (Read & Write)
  • Must be working from home
  • Need own laptop / PC
  • Own internet 5MB download and 3MB upload
  • Own Mobile phone with Android 14 and above or IOS 16 and above or Laptop/ Chrome book
  • Must be willing to work rotating shift for 9 hours anytime following the required schedule by the client within 24 hours (Night Shift)
  • They will be entitled to 2 days off in a week which will be rotating any day
  • Must be willing to work on public holidays as the operation is 24/7.
