The Public Relations Manager at Razorpay Curlec will be responsible for building and strengthening the company’s reputation across Southeast Asia through strategic storytelling, media engagement, and thought leadership. This role reports to the Marketing Director – Southeast Asia and works closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to drive consistent, high-impact PR programmes. The PR Manager will position Razorpay Curlec as a trusted B2B payments partner across regional markets. The ideal candidate brings strong regional media relationships, deep B2B PR experience, and a background in agency environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership and execution of PR strategy across SEA, aligned with brand, business, and regional marketing objectives.
- Build, foster, and manage strong relationships with regional and local media, including business, technology, fintech, and startup publications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for media enquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent responses.
- Develop compelling PR narratives, messaging frameworks, and story angles for product launches, partnerships, milestones, and thought leadership.
- Identify proactive media opportunities including interviews, contributed articles, bylines, commentary, and speaking opportunities for company spokespersons.
- Plan and execute PR support for events, partnerships, announcements, and campaigns, in close collaboration with marketing and leadership teams.
- Manage day-to-day activities with PR agencies, including briefing, reviewing outputs, tracking performance, and ensuring alignment with goals.
- Identify and manage relevant industry awards, recognitions, and rankings, owning the end-to-end application and submission process to enhance brand credibility.
- Monitor media coverage, industry conversations, and competitor activity; prepare regular reporting on PR performance and impact.
- Support issues management and crisis communications when required, working closely with internal stakeholders and agencies.
- Continuously explore creative and unconventional PR approaches to improve brand visibility and credibility in the B2B ecosystem.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or corporate communications, with strong exposure to B2B PR.
- Agency experience is strongly preferred, especially working on technology, fintech, SaaS, or enterprise accounts.
- Demonstrated regional media relationships across SEA, including business, technology, fintech, and startup ecosystems.
- Proven ability to develop and pitch strong stories that secure high-quality media coverage.
- Experience managing awards submissions and industry recognition programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English), with experience writing press releases, media pitches, and thought leadership content.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with senior leadership and external partners.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
