A leading recruitment firm is looking for an experienced Mergers and Acquisitions Manager to conduct feasibility studies, lead due diligence, and create financial models. The role requires over 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Candidates should be comfortable communicating in English and Chinese, and have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Strategic Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies and develop corporate proposals aligned with strategic goals, shaping the future of the organization.
Financial Modeling: Build and maintain robust financial models, performing in-depth analysis and valuations of target companies using various methodologies.
Due Diligence: Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence exercises, ensuring thorough evaluation of potential acquisitions.
Deal Structuring: Create innovative M&A and corporate structuring plans, covering pre- and post-deal financial impacts at both company and group levels.
Negotiation Support: Formulate and negotiate corporate exercise schemes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Board Communication: Prepare compelling presentations and board papers, effectively communicating complex financial information to senior leadership.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external parties to drive successful execution of corporate exercises.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and financial plans for the group's growth.
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent), demonstrating a strong foundation in finance.
Relevant Experience: Over 5 years in Corporate Finance/M&A roles, bringing valuable insights from public-listed companies, corporate consulting, private equity, venture capital, or investment banks.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Excel financial modelling, valuation, and analysis, with a proven track record in structuring corporate finance and investment deals.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communicator experienced in working with diverse stakeholders, including bankers, legal counsel, auditors, and regulators.
Problem‑Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and project management skills, with a knack for finding innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Multilingual Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, essential for developing comprehensive presentations and reports.
Adaptability: Flexibility in travel and work schedule, ready to tackle the dynamic nature of M&A projects.
