A leading resource management company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Manager for People Development to design and execute growth-oriented learning initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure that employee capability aligns with business goals, enhancing performance and continuous development. Responsibilities include managing onboarding programs, collaborating for competency analyses, and overseeing training metrics. A Bachelor's degree in HR or Business is required along with 7-8 years of relevant experience and certified trainer credentials are a plus.
The Manager – People Development champions a growth-oriented workplace by designing and executing strategic learning, talent, and engagement initiatives. The role ensures employee capability building aligns with business goals, enhancing organizational performance, compliance, and a culture of continuous development. The role collaborates closely with department heads, team leaders, and external learning providers to ensure meaningful upskilling, future-readiness, and employee engagement.
Assist in the design, update, and manage onboarding program for new hires, lead the facilitation for their induction to ensure they assimilate into the Company’s business, and culture.
Assist in learning needs analysis and execute approved learning strategies and programs.
Implement various learning methodologies, including but not limited online platform and on-site training or workshops, to improve learning effectiveness.
Apply data-driven evaluation techniques to assess learning impact and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with managers to perform competency-based gap analyses and align learning pathways.
Execute targeted programs such as emerging leader development, career acceleration tracks, and mentorship initiatives.
Track and report training metrics including participation, learning hours, budget utilization, ensure training efficiency.
Ensure compliance with training regulations (e.g., HRD Corp, PDPA, AMLA, ABMS) and internal governance standards.
Manage third-party learning vendors and contracts, ensuring value-for-money and learning quality assurance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience with 2 – 3 years of progressive experience in people development or organizational learning roles.
Proven track record in leading learning projects, stakeholder engagement, and change enablement.
Certified trainer credentials (e.g., HRD Corp TTT, CIPD, CPLP, CTDP) are highly desirable.
