Job description

We are an IP firm comprising Patent Agents and Lawyers. We are seeking a highly motivated member to join our team as Malaysian Patent Agent / Executive.

We are strategically located within the central transportation hub offering seamless connectivity to various urban and suburban areas within and around Kuala Lumpur. Our office is at Plaza Sentral at KL Sentral Station.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle all patent enquiries from clients.
• Handle all patent prosecution matters, including review of patent specifications, making necessary amendments in compliance with the Patents Act 1983, providing pre‑filing advice to clients for new inventions (conducting patent searches and drafting specifications), and responding to office actions issued by the Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation (MyIPO).
• Monitor deadlines of patent applications and ensure all IP matters are processed and handled in a timely and efficient manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Malaysian registered patent agent preferred.
• Degree in Science/Engineering, preferably in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Physics, or a degree in any science‑related field.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hardworking, highly motivated, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Possesses good work ethics.
