Job description

We are an IP firm comprising Patent Agents and Lawyers. We are seeking a highly motivated member to join our team as Malaysian Patent Agent / Executive.

We are strategically located within the central transportation hub offering seamless connectivity to various urban and suburban areas within and around Kuala Lumpur. Our office is at Plaza Sentral at KL Sentral Station.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all patent enquiries from clients.
• Handle all patent prosecution matters:
• Review patent specifications.
• Make necessary amendments to patent specifications in compliance with the Patents Act 1983.
• Provide pre‑filing advice to clients for new inventions, including conducting patent searches and drafting of patent specifications.
• Respond to office actions issued by Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation (MyIPO).
• Monitor deadlines of patent applications and ensure all IP matters are processed and handled in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Requirements

• At least a degree in Science/Engineering, preferably in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Physics or any Science‑related field.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hardworking, highly motivated, able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Possesses good work ethics.
