Job summary

A leading packaging company in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, especially paper cup forming machines. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work shifts. Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper cup or packaging industries.
• Hands-on experience with paper cup forming machines is an advantage.
• Must be able to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.

Job description

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, including paper cup forming machines.

Execute maintenance tasks as per the maintenance plan and schedule to ensure optimal machine performance.

Conduct daily maintenance activities to support smooth factory operations.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machines to minimize downtime.

Adjust tooling sizes and machine settings on paper cup forming machines as required for production.

Respond to and complete all assigned maintenance service requests promptly.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP, and 5S housekeeping standards.

Work closely with the Production and Quality teams to resolve machine-related issues affecting output and quality.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and energy efficiency.

Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior.

Qualifications and Skills

Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.

At least three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper cup or packaging industries.
