A leading manufacturing company in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Maintenance Process Manager to support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing all factory maintenance activities. This role demands strong capabilities in preventive maintenance, team supervision, and compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a Boilerman certification as an advantage. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in a similar environment and possess good troubleshooting skills.

Job description

The Maintenance Process Manager supports the Maintenance Manager in managing and supervising all maintenance activities within the factory to ensure uninterrupted production, safe operation of machinery, and compliance with statutory and safety requirements. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, breakdown response, utility management, and team supervision. Boilerman certification is an added advantage, particularly for factories operating boilers and steam systems.

Job Responsibilities

1. Factory Maintenance Operations
   • Assist in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for production machinery, utilities, and factory infrastructure.
   • Ensure high availability and reliability of production equipment to minimize downtime.
   • Support maintenance of utilities.
   • Monitor boiler operation and maintenance in compliance with legal and safety requirements (where applicable).
2. Production Support
   • Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Safety departments to support production schedules.
   • Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and lead troubleshooting activities.
   • Ensure maintenance work does not disrupt production unnecessarily.
3. Team Supervision
   • Supervise maintenance technicians, fitters, electricians, and utility operators.
   • Allocate daily tasks and monitor work progress and quality.
   • Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to the maintenance team.
4. Safety, Compliance & Quality
   • Support compliance with statutory inspections, audits, and certifications (especially boilers, pressure vessels, and lifting equipment).
   • Assist in preparing maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, and KPIs.
   • Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and spare parts documentation.
   • Support spare parts planning, inventory control, and maintenance cost optimization.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Boilerman Certificate / Boiler Operation License – Added Advantage.
• Safety, TPM, or maintenance-related certifications are a plus.
• 3–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Experience in supervising technicians and handling utilities is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
• Basic computer skills for reports and documentation.
