A leading engineering firm in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia is seeking a candidate with a mechanical and electrical engineering background. This role involves managing upgrading and refurbishment works, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and overseeing daily maintenance tasks for mechanical and electrical systems. Ideal applicants should possess 3-5 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills to effectively tackle on-site issues and ensure smooth operations.
To assist in managing the upcoming upgrading/refurbishment works, project and daily maintenance operations. The ideal candidate should have mechanical and electrical engineering background with relevant skills in managing and coordinating with all consultants and contractors on design, construction and maintenance works
Coordinate with consultants, contractors and vendors for upgrading, refurbishment and maintenance works.
Assist in managing, monitoring and executing upgrading and refurbishment works.
Manage daily maintenance tasks, including mechanical and electrical systems, building facilities, and general upkeep.
Conduct routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Prepare maintenance recommendations and seek management approval.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, and compliance documents.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering, with 3–5 years of experience in building upgrading/refurbishment works and facilities maintenance & management.
Sound knowledge of M&E systems, coordination of upgrading/refurbishment works, and corrective & preventive maintenance.
Good communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Able to work independently and respond promptly to issues and problems on site.
