Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a logistics team covering local transportation and ensuring the team performs efficiently, meets timelines, and maintains compliance with company policies and customs regulations.
• Coordinate with the warehouse, weighbridge, QA & security team for smooth receiving and storage of imported cargo.
• Monitor and ensure local delivery orders are fulfilled according to Sales team requirements.
• Manage and optimize local transport scheduling for timely and efficient deliveries.
• Verify and approve transporter and carrier invoices according to agreed rates and terms.
• Liaise with Production and Sales teams to align shipment schedules with customer needs and product availability.
• Negotiate with transporters and carriers to resolve any shipment delays or failures promptly.
• Implement measures to control logistics costs while maintaining service quality.
• Perform any duties assigned by superior from time to time in alignment to company goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with strong analytical mind.
• Good time management, negotiation, decision making & problem solving skills.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Diploma/Degree holder preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing field (experiences in shipping/ freight forwarding).
