Job description

Sunway University are seeking Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The incumbents will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and advancing the field of computing through innovative, technology-enhanced learning approaches.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching and supervision for postgraduate learners in Computing and related areas through Open & Distance Learning (ODL) and blended learning approaches.

Design and deliver ODL modules using multimedia content, recorded lectures, and live online sessions.

Develop MOOC-style learning materials and self-instructional content (videos, notes, interactive activities).

Create hands-on computing labs, coding exercises, and simulations for online and blended learning.

Design authentic and practice-based assessments, and enhance student engagement through innovative digital teaching strategies.

Support programme development, accreditation processes, and compliance with MQF/MQA standards.

Conduct research in computing domains (AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, digital education) and publish in indexed journals.

Participate in industry collaborations, consultancy projects, and secure research grants while contributing to academic committees and quality assurance initiatives.

Requirements

PhD in Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from a reputable university.

Experience or strong understanding of Open & Distance Learning (ODL) pedagogy and ability to design MOOC-style content for online delivery.

Proven track record of strong research output or industry engagement.

Proficiency in programming or computing technologies relevant to the Master of Science curriculum, with strong digital teaching skills.

Professional certifications (AWS, Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft Azure, etc.) are an added advantage.
