RAILWAY SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY SECTION, UNIKL MIDI

KEY ROLES :

Teaching and Instruction:Conducting lectures, workshops, and seminars on Railway Systems.

Curriculum Development:Designing, reviewing, and updating course content and assessments to align with industry standards.

Student Mentorship:Supervising student projects, guiding research activities, and providing career advice.

Assessment:Evaluating assignments and delivering constructive feedback to support student learning.

Industry Engagement:Building collaborations with industry professionals, arranging guest lectures, and coordinating internship opportunities.

Research and Development:Undertaking academic research and keeping abreast of the latest developments in railway systems and teaching methodologies

REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Engineering Technology (Railway Systems), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field.

Minimum of 2–5 years of industrial experience in the railway sector (e.g., rail operations, signaling, maintenance, rolling stock, systems integration, etc.).

Minimum of 2–5 years of teaching experience, preferably at the university level.

Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver effective course curricula.

Familiarity with modern railway technologies, including signaling systems, control systems, rolling stock design/maintenance, and rail infrastructure.

Capable of teaching both theoretical and practical/laboratory components.

Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the railway sector.

Experience supervising student projects, internships, and final-year theses.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Willingness to engage in research, consultancy, and community service activities.

Commitment to fostering an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Experience with online or hybrid teaching platforms is an advantage.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
