Job description
Overview

You will assure the ongoing review, extraction and recording of all Asia lease contract data and the associated accounting and reporting matters, subsequent to the implementation of the new standard within PPG. You will communicate with the users of Lucernex, the negotiators of lease agreements. You will work with finance and GSM personnel regionally to help train on new accounting standard, and to develop internal documentation related to controls, as well as future state processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Leasing related tasks including, but not limited to, the standardization of lease reports, defining and documenting controls over the new process, creating user/system documentation
  • Liaise with PPG finance network to ensure all data required to complete integrations are gathered
  • Review Leasing Contracts and extract specified data for loading into PPG Leasing System Lucernex to ensure all necessary lease information is entered and maintained
  • Handle all aspects of the Real Estate, Equipment & Housing leases including preparation and maintenance of lease records
  • Assist Management with all aspects of Landlord/Tenant relationship including issue resolution, support on payment inquiries, and compliance with the lease agreement
  • Provide support to, and work with, the legal, finance, and operations departments
  • Monitor new acquisitions and dispositions and take appropriate action to capture organizational changes related to leases
  • Identify problems, bottlenecks, and obstacles and implement logical solutions; otherwise, bring the issues to the team leads
  • Communicate in a team setting to provide succinct feedback
  • Help with internal/external audit ad-hoc requests
  • Collaborate with the other functional leads, the system consultants, and abstraction consultants
Qualifications
  • Possessed bachelor’s degree in relevant area
  • Understanding of applicable US Lease accounting standards and application within Multinational company
  • At least 3 years accounting or finance experience - General Ledger / Business finance preferred
  • Previous experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, QAD
  • Previous experience with accounting consolidation tools such as HFM
  • Ability to communicate in both English & Mandarin is essential
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data; sort, filter, pivot, summarize, and error check.
  • Ability to run basic queries over the data sets to extract information; Understand the underlying data structures and linkages within sub-set of data
  • Solid working knowledge of key PPG Finance procedures
