Lead - Transition & Mobility (Confidential Search)
The successful candidate will lead the Transition & Mobility team to deliver efficient, employee-centred transition and mobility services, ensuring every workforce movement is seamless and timely. The role oversees offboarding, contract management, and global mobility operations for the Group’s workforce, ensuring cross-jurisdictional compliance, minimising operational and legal risks, and enhancing employee experience at critical transition points.
Key Responsibilities
Transition & Mobility Strategy
- Develop and execute an employee-centred strategy for offboarding, contract management and international assignments that is seamless, compliant with Group policies, aligned with regulatory requirements and workforce planning, and minimises operational disruption.
- Partner with Corporate HR, Finance, People Data, Pay & Benefits and external agencies to resolve escalations and ensure smooth workforce transitions.
- Provide expert guidance to line managers and employees on exits, contract terms and mobility requirements.
- Ensure timely and compliant offboarding processes, including notice handling, final documentation, exit interviews, and clearance workflows.
- Oversee alumni touchpoints, rehire eligibility checks, and end-of-service compliance.
Contract Management
- Oversee timely processing of contract renewals, conversions, end-of-contract actions, and policy-governed decision points.
- Ensure accuracy of contract terms, policy alignment, and risk mitigation for non-renewals or extensions, including multi-jurisdictional context.
Global Mobility Operations
- Manage end-to-end mobility processes including assignments, work permits/visas, taxation, relocations, extensions, repatriations, and cross-border compliance.
- Partner with Corporate HR and Total Rewards to ensure policy alignment governance and consistent application of mobility framework.
Developing Team Capability and Performance
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of transition and mobility specialists to deliver excellent service.
- Foster engagement, accountability, continuous improvement, and capability building to support future growth and transformation.
Process Excellence & Digital Enablement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across offboarding, contract workflows, and mobility processes and drive adoption of HR technologies, including GenAI-enabled tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, with 9-12 years of HR operations experience, with deep exposure to offboarding, contract management, mobility, or HR shared services, including at least 3 years in a team management role.
- Extensive knowledge of end-to-end offboarding workflows, contract renewals, conversions, and employee movement processes in fast-paced or regulated environments.
- Prior experience in supporting global mobility operations, including visas, work permits, relocations, taxation, and coordination with internal and external partners is preferred.
- Good knowledge of employment law, immigration requirements, tax rules and policy frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply these to day-to-day cases.
- Demonstrated experience in process optimisation, and automation, with strong working knowledge of HR systems, workflow tools, case management platforms, and emerging digital/GenAI solutions supporting exits, contracts, and mobility processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
