Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company located in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a candidate with a Bachelor Degree in Food Technology or related fields. You will conduct microbial and chemical tests, manage product development projects, and maintain laboratory practices. Applicants should have 2-3 years of R&D experience in food manufacturing and strong laboratory skills. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on food safety and product quality.

  • Conduct all relevant microbial, chemical tests and shelf life studies.

Job description
  1. To conduct all testing related lab. Conduct all relevant of microbial test, chemical test and physical test, and shelf life study test.
  2. Issuing COA report
  3. To lead and monitor all the on‑going project for both the product improvement and new product development and validation of all processes or any changes occur.
  4. To conduct any case study (if needed).
  5. To do summary environmental monitoring annually for production.
  6. To conduct shelf life study for products (reverify based on risk)
  7. All documents (study report, summary and record) must well organized.
  8. To conduct a study on the sanitation program to determine its effectiveness.
  9. To conduct study on the production process step and prepare the report.
  10. To maintaining the stock and FIFO of laboratory apparatus, chemical and equipment and maintenance the lab condition.
  11. To maintain and revise the good laboratory practices procedure and lab documentation to suit the current system.
  12. Participate with external and internal audit related on Food Safety System.
  13. To conduct on microbial analysis for raw material, finish goods and etc.
  14. To conduct lab equipment service (if necessary)
  15. To review statistical process control
  16. To conduct sensory test & sensory panelist calibration
  17. Prepare correspondence and coordinate with an external laboratory regarding the product and routine sampling, including air monitoring, swab monitoring, water monitoring, allergen sampling and etc.
What we are looking for: -
  1. Bachelor Degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Microbiology / or related course
  2. 2 - 3 years R&D experience in food manufacturing company
  3. Microbiological testing / laboratory skills
