ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY SECTION – UNIKL BMI

KEY ROLES
  • Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (including calibration and testing) in accordance with the established schedule.
  • Carry out minor repairs and/or replace malfunctioning units as required.
  • Prepare laboratory equipment, components, and tools prior to the commencement of lab sessions.
  • Assist lecturers and students in resolving technical issues related to equipment during experimental work.
  • Conduct laboratory testing as requested, record observations, and provide recommendations when necessary. Ensure all data and results are documented in the designated forms.
  • Plan and coordinate the disposal and replacement of assets.
  • Organize and store all equipment, devices, and tools in compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Properly store and tidy up laboratory materials (e.g., components, accessories, equipment, and furniture) after lab sessions.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience (Diploma holders): Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar or related technical position.
  • Experience (Degree holders): Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in a similar or related technical position.
  • Able to perform duties with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and self‑motivation in completing assigned tasks.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and willing to work beyond regular hours when required to meet operational needs.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
  • Solid knowledge and hands‑on skills in electrical repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
