Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia seeks a Junior/Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare tender documents and manage contracts and budgets. Responsibilities include liaising with various professionals, tracking project costs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documents.

  • Prepare monthly interim claims based on actual work done.

Job description
JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR/ SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

To prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation; attend tender interviews. Preparing and analyzing costings for tenders.

To handle pre and post contract of a project.

To review construction plans and preparing quantity requirements. Track variation works and changes to the design and/or construction work and submit Variation Order claims.

To procure the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project. Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

To prepare comparison and Letter of Award.

To prepare monthly interim claims to clients and sub-contractors based on the actual measurement/work done on site.

Ability to liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as architects, engineers, site managers, project managers and site engineer & suppliers/vendors, subcontractors.

To liaise with purchasing dept for material selection and/or source construction materials chinese speaking suppliers. Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for a project.

To prepare monthly reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents to head of department for review.

To keep track of materials and ordering more when required.

To travel from the office to various sites as required for site evaluation, site meetings, and site measurements.

Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Undertake other tasks related when required by the Management from time to time.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Required languages: English , Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin is added advantage

At least 2 years of working experience in construction or equivalent

Fresh graduates, internship are welcome
