A construction firm in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage subcontractors' interim claims and final accounts. The role involves measuring site works, coordinating with teams, and ensuring compliance with contract conditions. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying and have at least 1 year of experience in the construction field. Strong communication and detail-oriented skills are essential for effective client engagement. Opportunity for travel as needed.
Prepare, verify, and certify Subcontractors' Interim Claims and Final Accounts.
Measure and take-off quantities for site works based on drawings and site progress.
Monitor variations, VO claims, EOT-related cost claims, and contractual entitlements.
Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors on claims and valuation matters.
Maintain proper records for measurement sheets, site instructions, variation orders, and supporting documents.
Track project costs, cash flow, and claim status, highlighting discrepancies or risks to management.
Ensure all claims comply with contract conditions, specifications, and agreed rates.
Assist in budget control, cost reporting, and value engineering activities.
Attend site meetings related to progress, valuation, and cost matters.
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveyor and equivalent .
Minimum 1 years' experience in Construction
Fundamental knowledge in QS.
Willing to learn, detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
Strong communication skills to engage with clients effectively.
Able to travel to outstation sites as required.
