We are an upcoming cafe in Petaling Jaya, dedicated to serving handcrafted coffee, quality food and freshly baked pastries – made with care, sustainability, and quality in mind. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the mise en place for all dessert items.
- Prepare bakery ingredients such as bread dough, pastry dough, fillings, and more.
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
- Assist in menu development and food tasting when required.
- Assist team members and the pastry chef as needed.
- Assemble and display desserts in the dessert showcase.
- Regularly check and document chiller and freezer temperatures to ensure food safety.
- Conduct daily and weekly cleaning, ensuring kitchen hygiene, organization, and food safety standards are met at all times.
- Monitor stock levels of desserts in the showcase and replenish as necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure that they are sufficient to meet operational needs, and inform supervisors for ordering needs.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the pastry chef or supervisor.
Requirements
- Malaysian with at least an SPM qualification or equivalent.
- Applicants with prior experience in cafe/bakery or bakery operations will have advantage, but not mandatory.
- Applicants with Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Pâtisserie Arts or equivalent, and/or experience with Pâtisserie, and/or experience in food production will have advantage.
- Training will be provided.
- Looking for candidates with genuine interest in culinary and a passion for the F&B industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to converse well in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Cheerful, energetic and hardworking. Good attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently.
- Flexible to work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Full Time and Part Time positions available
- Full Time salary depending on experience.
- Part Time : RM 10.00 - RM 12.00 per hour
