A leading construction company located in Kulai, Malaysia, is seeking an Accountant to manage a full set of accounts, including accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include processing transactions, preparing tax filings, and coordinating with departments on accounting matters. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Manage a full set of accounts, including AP & AR and perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing activities within the given timeline.
Assist in managing day-to-day account operations such as processing transactions, issuing cheques, updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
Handle data entry and responsible for daily accounts recording functions.
Process monthly billing claims and payments.
Coordinate and liaise with related departments on accounting matters.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Perform checking & posting on Inter-Company billing transactions & reconciliation.
Maintain organised & proper filling system.
Assist ad-hoc assignments and other related tasks as assigned.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, or a Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA, ACCA, MICA, ICAEW or equivalent).
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience from audit/tax background is highly desired.
Experience in a property development or construction company is an added advantage.
