A leading construction firm in Kuching, Sarawak is seeking an experienced Onshore HSSE Supervisor. The ideal candidate must have over 10 years in the construction sector, including significant experience in HSE management and site supervision. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. This role involves leading safety programmes and ensuring compliance with local safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in the Construction Sector, including 5 years in HSE management.
  • Familiar with Construction Site Safety Standards and industry standards.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; other local languages are a plus.

JOB OPPORTUNITY – Onshore HSSE Supervisor

We’re sourcing for Onshore HSSE Supervisor.

Work Based: Kuching, Sarawak.

Overview

Onshore HSSE Supervisor position based in Kuching, Sarawak.

Requirements
  • Safety and Health Officer (Greenbook Holder).
  • 10+ years’ experience in the Construction Sector (of which 5 years should comprise of site supervision experience in HSE management of offshore execution campaign or construction at fabrication yards).
  • Familiar with Construction Site Safety Standards and other industry standards on personal safety.
  • Has strong experience in establishing and driving site HSE programmes such as Drop Prevention Programmes, Safety Campaigns, Behavioural Based Safety Programmes and Performance & Monitoring programmes.
  • Experienced in leading several incident investigations and familiar with incident investigation methodologies.
  • Well versed with local HSE regulatory requirement (e.g. DOSH, DOE, PPGUA) and IOGP standards (IOGP 577, 597, 376 ad 459).
  • Able to lead assurance activities at site e.g. Line of Defence (LOD1), IOGP 577 Site Assessments.
  • Has past experience in supporting offshore campaign including, brownfield campaign.
  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively to the working level on safety messages.
  • Able to influence others through collaboration to implement change (e.g. fabrication contractors).
  • Must be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in any other local language (e.g. Iban) is an advantage.
