Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee offshore oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry. Strong communication skills and a thorough knowledge of construction and fabrication processes are essential. This role involves planning and coordinating construction activities on various offshore platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years for degree holders or 15 years for diploma holders as Construction Supervisor.
  • At least 8 years of offshore/onshore facilities experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of fabrication, construction work, and offshore facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction activities on oil and gas projects.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC specifications and codes.
  • Coordinate with teams to prioritize and organize tasks.

Job Opportunity – Construction Superintendent (Offshore)

Job Requirements:

  • The jobholder should hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
  • For Degree holder minimum of 10 years, for Diploma holder minimum of 15 years working experience as Construction Supervisor in oil and gas offshore facilities.
  • Have thorough knowledge of fabrication and construction work on Piping, Structures, Risers, Launchers/Receiver, Gas Lift system, dehydration unit, platform crane, Vessels repair work Etc.
  • Minimum of 8 years working experience as Construction Supervisor in oil and gas onshore/offshore facilities with some exposure to the materials / logistics function.
  • Has detailed knowledge on offshore multidisciplinary construction and structural maintenance practices.
  • Has working knowledge of offshore oil and gas facilities operating procedures and practices. An awareness of working practices in contracts management, and administration.
  • Ability to undertake activity planning during shutdowns and out with shutdowns.
  • Well versed in standard QA/QC specs and codes.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to prioritize and organize.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, high degree of initiative, follows instructions/schedules/timelines and handles multiple priorities.
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably CAD.
  • Excellent supervisory, communication and presentation skills including oral and written reporting and organization management.
