Job description

Japanese Speaker | Finance Analyst - RTR (GL and Reporting)

Analyst will be responsible for period end close activites, ensures accuracy and timeliness in processing all general ledger entries, fixed assets transaction, bank transactions, financial and management reporting, accounts reconciliation, statutory audit and tax computation while adhering to WPP group and company policies and procedures.

Able to speak, read and write in JAPANESE is an added advantage

2. Key Results / Accountabilities

Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing general ledger entries, fixed assets transaction, banking transaction, preparing financial and management report, balance sheet reconciliation, supporting local statutory and tax (direct and indirect) in accordance WPP policies and procedures, local accounting standard and requirements.

Work closely with WPP Operating Units (OpCo) Finance to understand current activities and ensure all changes are reflected in financial statement.

Collaborate with OpCo to clear aged balance sheet items.

Regularly track and resolve outstanding issues being identified and elevate to relevant parties as necessary.

Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as and when necessary

Ensure service level agreements (SLA) and monthly performance and productivity KPIs are met

Ensure the ownership for all applicable internal controls related to RTR processes.

Proactively work with team lead/assistant manager to identify, propose and implement continuous process improvement opportunities in existing processes.

Support in continuous process improvement projects and plans.

Involvement in ad hoc activities or project.

Coach/ Buddy others on an area of work.

3. Qualification & Experience and Competencies

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.)
