Job summary

A technology support services provider in Malaysia seeks a Desktop Support Technician to assist with computer maintenance, setup, and support for various applications. The ideal candidate should hold a college diploma in computer science and possess experience in structured cabling. Responsibilities include daily inspections of IT infrastructure and comprehensive support for office equipment. This position offers a salary range of RM2,400 to RM3,000 with training provided.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: college diploma or above, major in computer science and software application related certification.
• Qualification: PC desktop operation and support, structured cabling maintenance experience.
• Proactive attitude, hardworking, integrity, and related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients purchase and maintain computer machines, setup, and installation of operating systems.
• Provide support services for office equipment including printers and CCTV systems.
• Onsite support for business applications like MES and ERP.
• Daily inspection and operation checking of IT infrastructure.

Job Description

• Desktop Support Services
  • Helping client to purchase new computer machine, provide support maintenance services to current computer
  • Include: new computer setup, computer maintenance, Operating System installation, email client installation, antivirus installation, troubleshooting external devices that connected to user’s computer, troubleshooting on network printer, network antivirus system maintenance & support, fault diagnostic of LAN & WLAN (client will provides the installation media and ensures that the licenses are legal to be use).
• Other Hardware Support Services
  • Provide support services and maintenance to other office equipment, including printers, projectors, access control, CCTV system, routers and switches, etc., other production equipment is solved according to technical resources provided by clients or suppliers.
• Software Support Services
  • Provide onsite support for business application such as MES, OA, ERP, warehouse management system, etc
• Training will be provided by client. Only pass the training will grant access to onsite support task.
• Daily Operation
  • Provide daily inspection and operation checking. Mainly is basic IT infrastructure and environmental inspection.
